Equine Remedial Farriery & Rehabilitation
Equine Information evening Thursday August 16th 6pm
Come along for an informative evening at our warm Vet Services clinic in Masterton.
Farrier Ben Bateman BSc, CFP, CLS is going to share with us some of the experiences he gained during time abroad as the recipient of Valachi Downs Young Achiever Award. He has spent time with Sharon May – Davis doing equine dissections, plus detailed work experience with the EPLO and Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in the US. He’s also spent time in the UK including finding all about glue and composite materials. Ben is a passionate horse person, keen to spread information and this should be an excellent interactive experience.
Louisa Broughton BVSc GPCert(EqP) is going to share some of the information gained from the recent Rodmor lecture with Dr Frances Peat, plus encouraging discussing how to bring our Kiwi ingenuity into play. Dr Peat has kindly encouraged the spreading of her findings about rehabilitation from injury and we know that lots of people from the Wairarapa couldn’t make it. Interactive discussion welcomed!
We’re intending this to be a smaller group so get in fast with your RSVP. You can ring the clinic on 378 2662 or email Kate or Kirsten on firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d encourage lay - people to review the basic anatomy and function of the hoof prior to the discussion to get the most out of the talk. Drinks and nibbles provided.
